Students will be using this equipment to learn and practice motor skills such as jumping, dancing, hopping, dribbling, running, etc. Students in 5th will be improving their understanding of all the skills listed above as well as improving cardiovascular health, team building, cooperation, exercise techniques, and recreational activities. The fifth grade team is hoping our students will learn how to incorporate those skills into age-appropriate games/sports and fitness, and along with our first ever garden, a healthy lifestyle. Donations of this equipment will help establish a PE programs in our school. Obtaining this equipment will allow our fifth grade team to teach my students while following California Physical Education Standards guidelines and will allow me to give our students as fun of a PE experience possible. Since our school does not have a PE teacher, this will assist the 5th grade team class teachers in implementing PE. I believe that our school's kick off with Sami Circuits motivated our students to investigate a healthy lifestyle. I would like to give them the same type of positive experience, and this equipment will allow us to implement physical fitness in our grade level and then hopefully motivate other grade levels at our school. Thank you!
