My students come from such a variety of experiences and many have never had pre-school. They are learning how to regulate their body and trying to focus at the same time. These flexible seats will allow them to give them the input their bodies need but also give full attention to small group instruction for math and reading. When listening to direct instruction from me, they will be given a choice to sit in what suits their needs best. This will help them focus and be able to pay attention to my instruction. They are constantly moving around the classroom and I would love to be able to give them something besides the floor or chairs to sit and learn in for independent work and group work.
