As I progress in my teaching career, my desire to inspire a love of reading grows more and more each year. Books were a safe haven for me as I traveled the often rocky terrain that is known as middle school and high school. I carried a book with me constantly and could never seem to get enough. Reading was that important to me. I want to share that love of reading with my students. Many of my students view reading as a chore and I aim to change their minds. My current library is small, full of well-worn books, and has a lot of room to grow. I have selected a variety of books that will appeal to the diversity of students that I teach so that every student will have the opportunity to read something they enjoy.
