My preschool special education class is rooted in active learning, discovery, and exploration. I have carefully selected materials that are fun and developmentally appropriate. For example, the "Nature Blocks" will encourage children to participate in floor play, while building, taking turns, and using their imaginations as they play outdoors. I am especially excited about the “Let’s Get Moving! Activity Mats” because it will encourage my students to follow along with visual prompts and cues that teach them fun and silly ways to move their bodies. The “Float & Find Alphabet Bubbles,” “Water Whisks,” and “Design & Build Water Blocks,” will give my preschoolers toys to play with while they explore sand and water play. And, the “Easy Grip Ball Set” is great for preschoolers with gross motor delays and difficulties with hand-eye-coordination; however, it’s also great for team building and sports exercises. Most importantly, the totes and carrying cart, will help us keep our new adaptive P.E. equipment safe, organized, and easily accessible to our students.
