Our classrooms should not look like they did 70 years ago; we are working to create a more student-centered classroom. We feel that this furniture will help us begin to give students control of the way in which they learn. The more students are given a choice, the more they will become invested in their learning. If we are able to create a comfortable and safe learning environment, using this furniture students will undoubtedly thrive. During center time and individual learning tasks students will be given the choice to sit on beanbags, and other and floor seats to do their work. We feel that flexible seating will increase our students motivation to learn and their engagement, giving all students especially special need ones a better chance of success.
