This rug will help make a huge difference in my classroom. We spend quite a bit of our day working on the carpet during math, reading, writing, science, and social studies. The rug is broken up into individual spots, one for each student. One of my co-workers has this rug in her classroom and it's made a huge impact. It will help me teach my students to work and sit in their personal areas, which helps them learn boundaries and personal space. It will reduce the amount of time wasted by limiting the number of disruptions and distractions. This carpet can also be used for graphing and I plan to use it during phonics as a visual for segmenting words. In first grade we have so much to learn that every extra minute of learning time is crucial. I know that this rug will really help create a better classroom and learning environment.
