It is vital that students both learn to follow along word for word with a text and also hear proper tone, dictation, pronunciation and intonation of a model reader. This station will encourage readers to become model readers. As an International Baccalaureate school, the library is the heart of the school. We are open all day for students to come in and research topics they are learning or wondering about. Inclement weather also brings many in during recess times. Having three listening station areas will allow 18 students to be read to at a time. I know that students love to engage in this activity and see the irreplaceable value of the learning.
