Carpet time in our classroom is the time students feel most connected to their learning. It is this place that we create charts that are later used as references when applying our learning. Children help to create their own reference materials by taking part in making the chart in a group setting as close proximity. Stations are an opportunity in our classroom for students to practice their learning independently. By having a magnetic easel, students can use magnetic letters and numbers to manipulate information without fear of running an eraser out. By manipulating letters and numbers, students internalize their learning through multiple senses.
