My project is centered around students to promote their reading needs. My aim is to promote academic conversation, deepen thinking and understanding, as well as promote a love for reading! What better way than a well organized classroom. The bins will allow our classroom library to be more accessible to students so they can quickly find books at their reading level. This will help students read engaging books and develop their reading skills. The rug is designed to be a gathering place where students can learn, have academic conversation, as well as access instruction. Students will benefit from this rug as it is specially designed so that each student has a designated spot. This give students the space they need to keep focused as well as a structured way for discussions when doing turn and talks and community circles.
