Are you someone who benefits from a quiet and focused working environment? Do music and headphones help you focus? Many of my lovely learners have such busy brains that without CD players or noise cancelling headphones, they often aren't as productive. However, I've seen the positive impact of these students when they have worked with headphones and calm, instrumental music and the quality work that comes out of a focused work time. My 5th grade Highly Gifted classroom is working on continuing to grow with using self-accountability techniques to keep themselves on task. Many of my students have requested a way to listen to music and work with headphones without disturbing others, but I only have one CD player and one disc right now. Both of which are borrowed from other teachers! Please help support my class in their focus times by donating 5 CD players and 10 CDs with instrumental or soothing music.
