Over the summer my classroom was remodeled, removing a kitchenette and adding a sensory area/safe room for the students. We were able to complete this project with grant money. The sensory area was created for my classroom so that students can have an area to help support their language development, cognitive growth, motor skills, problem solving skills, and social interaction. Including flexible seating and lights for the sensory area will only benefit the students while in the classroom. These students were provided with the area and we would like to add more sensory items/flexible seating for their use. Please help provide my students new materials for their "new" classroom!
