At the moment there are not any bicycle racks at our school. In the past, students have tried to hide their bikes behind the dumpsters and other places just to be able to ride their bikes to school and not be concerned that it will be stolen while they are in class. I have offered to let them put their bikes in the gym, but there is not enough room to accommodate all riders. There is not a P.E budget to buy the racks. Our school is in a low socio-economic neighborhood with a diverse student population. I am trying to promote more physical activity for the students, and being able to ride their bikes to school would help promote this goal.
