My students have varying levels of reading and writing proficiencies, but they work rigorously every day to build their skills. Part of their standardized testing requires them to engage into a listening activity. The headphones would help them practice for this portion of the test and boost their confidence when testing approaches. TIME for Kids would also be a great asset for my readers because they find informational texts exciting and feel as if they are exploring the world through words. Even though many of my students are struggling to build their reading and writing proficiencies, they are motivated to challenge themselves and accomplish their goals. Reading can be frustrating for my students at times, but these resources would be a great addition to the classroom because they are both fun and educational. My students are eager to learn every time they are in class, so I always strive to provide them with ways to enhance their learning.
