The STEM related resources will be used to promote student-centered and interactive lessons, and facilitate engagement and curiosity. It appeals to tactile and visual learners and encourages students to take on the roles of scientist, architect, and mathematician. I can just picture my class active in their own learning! The art supplies will help bring Visual and Performing Arts in, and will be tied in with other content areas. The Keva Structures Plank Set and the Buildings and Bridges Structures will promote design thinking and will give students an opportunity to explore elements of engineering. The Washable Finger Paint, Watercolor Paint Trays, and paintbrushes will be utilized to bring the arts into science content. We will also be using the paints to make a mural outside our classroom! Painting a mural on the wall outside our classroom will build community and help to beautify our school. I look forward to utilizing these resources to further their interest in STEM and art!
