We need stacking stools, pillows, bouncy bands and lap desks. Flexible seating gives students a chance to take charge of their learning and make choices that work best for them. Currently we have a couch that students can use. Students also use clipboards to move around the room. Having stools to sit on and work collaboratively will greatly benefit them and help them learn from each other. By giving them this option to choose their own seat, they are learning to take charge and to find what works for them. When given a choice of where to work, students are more engaged in their work and less distracted by others around them. The products I have selected will give my students a greater choice in where they work. Lap desks will give students the chance to move about the room in a place that works best for them. Bouncy bands will help those fidgety students while they are still sitting. The pillow will give be a comfy spot to read and learn. Giving students a choice has proven very effective so I hope that these additional resources will provide even more options to mee the needs of all my students.
