The area rug will give students an additional space to create, read and work in groups. Much of our literacy block requires working with a partner. The extra space will allow students to spread out without becoming overwhelmed or distracted. The stools will allow students to work collaboratively at tables and since it has no back, supports posture and balance. The stability balls will provide pressure and movement for my most wiggly students. All of these seating options ensure students are comfortable and engaged in their learning. It will also make students feel welcomed and valued. I want students to feel right at home.
