These materials needed will help a group of first graders achieve their goals and help these ELL students read at grade level by the end of the year! They will be able to choose a book from the leveled library and find a spot on a big comfy carpet area to sit and read independently or with a book buddy! As a second year teacher I am ready to dive in and make it MY goal to reach every student this year and help them show growth in their reading and feel confident moving onto second grade. The carpet and books requested will help these first graders learn to read with confidence and the carpet area will provide them a place to sit to read. The other materials will help out a lot of teacher to create bulletin boards and ways to decorate their classrooms!
