When students are able to come to music in a warm and inviting environment with access to their very own recorder that they will take ownership over during our recorder unit, they will understand why music is so crucial to their developing young minds. The recorder is such an integral part of elementary school music, and many of my students do not have the resources to access such a seemingly simple, yet powerful instrument. They will have to take care of their instrument and they will be grateful for this opportunity to do so! Students will not only learn MUSIC through the recorder, but they will be able to apply is knowledge across the board for math, reading, science and even writing!

About my class
