My students conduct an array of research projects over the course of a year. For some, they require access to very specific items, and a microwave would help many of the students this year and in future years. Sometimes students are conducting research, or sometimes students are creating actual products. Either way, the use of a microwave would serve many of the students with aspects of their projects. Having a microwave in class would help more students work on their projects here at school rather than at home. I like to give the students as much time in class as possible, so more time outside of school is spent with family and friends, something that I think my kids don't get enough of unfortunately.
