A subscription to Scholastic News will give our 2nd grade students access to global events and help make them more aware and appreciative of the world they live in! Our team of teachers plan to use this resource to provide our students with additional nonfiction texts in the classroom. This would be a great way to ensure collaborative learning where each student would have access to the same text and be able to dive deep into the content that is offered inside. We will also be able to use this resource to pull small guided reading groups to help struggling students understand global concepts that they probably wouldn't be exposed to otherwise.

About my class
