The four Flex-Space Bean Bags and 12 Soft Seat cushions requested will be used immediately, straight out of the box. They will simply be placed around the room in strategic places for students to use during Relax and Read time. My students love independent reading time and adding comfortable seating throughout the nooks and crannies of the classroom will promote valuable sustained silent reading time. Sixth grade is a tough transitional year for students as they make the change from elementary routines to the demands of middle school life. Students have a difficult time adjusting to having 8 classes a day, back to back, so making my classroom as welcoming and comfortable as possible is one of my main goals. The flexible seating I am requesting will last for years to come. benefiting my students beyond this school year.
