Technology is ever changing and changing the way we live our lives. Right now, we teachers are preparing our students to enter a workforce that has yet to be invented. I am looking to advance our school's limited technology in an engaging and fun way. Many second graders go through a transitional point in in their education when the content advances rapidly and their home life is much more appealing than school. My hope is that with the use of robots, I can make my students' education more engaging and at the same time teach my students teamwork, perseverance, and creative thinking skills. Imagine a classroom where you get to compete in robot races, build obstacle courses for a robot and program a robot to go exactly where you tell it to go. This is a classroom I would want to be a part of and would want for my own children. Robotics is the present and will continue to be the future. With your donation, I will better prepare my students for that future.
