The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will assist them in learning the vital signs of life and how to act quickly to save a life. We are asking for your assistance in obtaining the equipment needed to learn the skills and execute those skills when needed. Our students will complete their intern hours at local a hospital and a long-term care center. They will perform vital signs on residents, which include blood pressure monitoring, apical pulse and listening to lung sounds. It is imperative that they learn how to complete these tasks prior to going to the intern site. Students that complete the health science program will be afforded the opportunity to work in the healthcare field through the our district's pipeline program. With your assistance, our students will receive a solid foundation into the healthy care field. You will help future nurses learn what they need to get to the next level.
