The students at my school choose to attend a free public school that was built on a peanut field in North Carolina. This school serves a population that is under resourced; yet the parents and students value their education so much that they attend school from 8-5, some busing from over an hour away. Our school has a mission to close the achievement gap and provide all students of diverse backgrounds the ability to succeed at college and change their worlds. Students here value bravery, self awareness, and urgency that they show throughout their 40+ hour weeks!

About my class
