My science students are vibrant, eager and curious about the world around them. I believe the best way to enjoy science class is to get involved actively, not passively! In my classroom students engage in the science processes through hands-on activities and real world projects that incorporate creativity and require problem solving. My students are diverse from various socio-economic backgrounds to learning styles and abilities. In my classroom I have students who are learning English for the very first time and I have students who are advanced learners. Hands-on science learning supports all these types of students. Practical science projects allow students to foster a curiosity and excitement for learning science. Furthermore, these authentic science experiences encourage students becoming lifelong science learners!
