About my class

Bella Vista is a Title 1 school, so our class always eats breakfast together in the morning. In my classroom this year, we will be eating breakfast while sitting in a restorative justice class circle. (Healthy breakfast + eating all together = stronger community) As kids are notoriously messy, to keep our classroom carpet clean, our class needs a vacuum to use daily to clean-up all leftover crumbs! We also have two smaller carpets (one in our classroom library and one in our peace corner) that we will also need the vacuum to help keep clean and usable. In addition to eating breakfast together, we will also be having P.E. as a class to meet the state requirement of 100 minutes of P.E. Due to funding, students only meet with the P.E. teacher once a week for 50 minutes. The other 50 minutes will be taught by me (their main teacher). However, this is my first year teaching and I have no P.E. supplies. To start my P.E. supplies simply, I'd like cones for relay races and other sports games.
