Covid 19 has changed the world of teaching and learning. Our students have returned to the classroom after over 18 months of interrupted learning due to the pandemic, at varying levels. Despite some deficits, they have also acquired new skills in technology, which have proven to show a huge increase in student engagement during lessons and provides the ability to assist students with special education needs to complete tasks with ease. These chromebooks will help us facilitate engaging, interactive lessons while also allowing our students to focus on the task at hand, and not whether or not they have usable and working devices. It will help our students participate in lessons and individualize specific needs and modifications for each student. This will support our students socially and emotionally as well, as it helps build their confidence in communicating with one another, and it provides ability to work in small groups and support one another on shared documents from safe distances.
