Our school district purchased a wonderful educational platform this year called Edgenuity. It pairs with NWEAs testing platform which we will use for benchmark testing. Everyone is excited to begin using these resources in class; however, we do not have computers for each classroom. We are limited to several labs dispersed throughout campus. The demand for lab time is high. Having several computers in class will enable me to differentiate instruction for students that incorporates the digital material included in Edgenuity. Currently, only 26% of all 9th graders show proficiency in English Language Arts on the State Exam. I believe that having regular access to Chromebooks in class, along with the new digital platforms will increase student learning and better prepare them for life after high school.
