I hope having a classroom with animals will open a door to students curiosity into the field of biology. Students will have a complete hand on experience documenting and recording growth, learning feeding habits, monitoring environmental changes, and other observations. With all the donated items we can create a wide variety of life inside. Having students get fully involved in maintaining classroom animals teaches students responsibility, ownership, and a sense of accomplishment. I hope having all these wonderful specimens of life in my classroom will open up the minds, create a great science learning atmosphere, and provide students a small look as to what is out there int the world as far as life. My next goal in a year or two is taking them on a field trip down to San Diego to see life outside the clear wall of an aquarium.
