Students need to pass the state test to receive their high school diploma. Unfortunately, students are not allowed to use digital translators during these tests. However, they are able to use English to Spanish/Creole/French/Vietnamese book dictionaries. I want to get students comfortable using them in my classroom effectively building test taking strategies. I currently only have 10 books for the students to practice with and they are forced to take turns, waiting for another student to finish before they are able to use it. This results in students losing focus while waiting for their turn. By having enough books for all of the students, we will allow them to work more efficiently and help them earn the coveted High School Diploma!
