An easel is easily one of the most important teaching tools in a classroom! It helps students know where to focus during a lesson. The magnetic surface will allow it host anchor charts for students to reference in the future. An easel with lines for writing is perfect for interactive writing. The rings will help flip between pocket charts for calendar, phonics, and reading without wasted transition time. An easel will be a focal point in our classroom for teaching each other. It will enable me to easily bring charts and materials to students, rather than asking them to gather their things to meet me in a designated spot. It will also make it easier for students to contribute their learning to anchor-charts, with materials at-hand. With the addition of this new easel, students will have an easier time sharing their thinking and learning with one another and there will be no wasted time transitioning between small groups or between subjects.
