As a teacher working in an economically disadvantaged community, our students in the life skills setting need materials and activities that will help be successful in their learning needs. The school district has chosen a growth mindset setting this year. As a special education teacher, I love the concept of "believing in the power of yet." The students I work with may not be on grade level, yet. I strongly believe having that mindset helps them feel a sense of pride and success. We celebrate progress, both big and small! I love my students and want them to grow and learn in a fun and appropriate manner.
