Most all of my students love to be outside. I have learned a great motivational tool is to have an outside classroom. Being a physical education teacher, this picnic table will be used during my physical education classes. Living in the south it can get very hot. My students need somewhere to sit and cool off while they are engaging in activity outside instead of having to sit on the ground. I also have walk to read classes. Some days I take the students outside for instruction but my morning classes can not do to the grass being so wet with dew. If we had the picnic table my students in the morning could enjoy the outside classroom just as the afternoon classes do.
