With these supplies the students will be able to personalize the classroom into an inspiring learning environment where they can comfortably shape their futures. Due to changes in building codes from the city we are limited on ways the students can personalize the classroom. This project will allow students to take ownership and pride in their learning and classroom environment. AVID students will pick a college they are interested in and a meaningful quote. They will then use these items to paint a ceiling tile in the classroom. These ceiling tiles will then be a permanent fixture in our classroom to give the students a sense of belonging and ownership.
