A comfortable learning environment is not a luxury, but a right. I currently don't have a rug in my classroom. So, when we work on the floor, it gets pretty cold. This rug that I have chosen is bright, comfortable and fire safe (those pesky fire codes) But, it is also round. And round promotes equality, conversation and a sense of connection. It will be the focal point of our classroom. To go with it, I have put a lot of my own money into dressers and alternative seating to make everything feel like a home away from home. Perfect!
