Please consider donating to my project. As a first year teacher, I am starting from scratch when it comes to setting up essential organizational and aesthetic features in my classroom. These items will help me create an inviting reading space for my students, as well as help me stay organized and establish routines, all key components of a comfortable, functional classroom. Comfortable reading areas filled with pillows make all-important independent reading more fun and productive. A large classroom timer visible to all will help students monitor and manage time during transitions, classwork, and tests. Paper organizers will help manage and compartmentalize materials for small group work and limit the amount of clutter that always seems to crop up in teacher work stations. Finally, sentence strips can be used for labeling resources and for students to use to practice spelling, among other potential uses.
