Coming to school is a safe place for my students, although many of them get serious wiggles and need to move around in order to be successful with their learning. By having alternative seating arrangements, my students will have the chance to be more free within the classroom during their independent work time, for reading in our classroom library, as well as can be used as incentives for good behavior. I have noticed that when my kiddos get the chance to move their body and be responsible for their learning instead of just stuck at their desk, they are able to gain skills of responsibility, creativity, and the excitement to engage in their learning.
