Flexible seating is an important aspect of many modern day classrooms and mine is lacking in options for my students. I would like to be able to provide a variety of alternative seating options such as the wobble stools and stability chairs for my students to choose daily. Recent studies show that students who participate in short bouts of physical movement while working within the classroom have better attention span, focus, and more time on task behavior. Furthermore traditional seating and tables tend to make students more possessive over space and materials. Flexible seating allows students the opportunity to learn to share supplies and space in the classroom. Flexible seating allows for students to find comfortable seating and learning environments throughout the classroom that work for them and comfortable students are calm, focused, productive, and happy!
