In my classroom we use interactive notebooks to keep up with our phonics skills, words of the week, and developing skills. Specifically, by using these notebooks we are able to combine learning how to hold a pencil, cut, glue with learning the sounds of letters, word building, and focusing beyond emerging writing. These will be used all year long to supplement and challenge their ability to read and write. In the past, we have been able to display work we were proud of out of our notebooks, create interactive tools for connecting past and future knowledge as well as informing our parents about what we've been learning!

About my class
