Efficient use of time is critical in today's classroom. I'm designing "brain breaks" to incorporate music, singing, instruments, rhythm, movement, reinforcement of academic concepts and FUN. Don't forget the fun! The egg shakers and Lummi sticks I am requesting will allow the students to to have a richer musical experience during these "brain breaks." After watching the documentary Alive Inside: A Story of Music and Memory, I feel compelled to expose our young minds to lots of music, music, music. I have taught for a long time and have never asked for this kind of support. I've always just paid for everything myself, so thank you for considering this project!
