First grade is a very busy year with lots of learning, academic growth, and fun! We are on the floor, moving to different tables, and we like to move even when are working independently. Wobble stools and balance stability discs will be used for flexible seating allowing student agency. This project will allow students to have more options to move a little bit as we concentrate on learning with the use of flexible seating. We are a personalized learning school, and we encourage flexible seating to enhance learning. Our class is very goal oriented we and expect students to work hard while learning in a variety of ways. My students have discovered that flexible seating is fun, and they are more engaged in their work.
