Utilizing whiteboards will assist students in demonstrating their understanding of new concepts and skills. Students will use whiteboards during guided practice in order for me to check for whole class understanding. Students will also use whiteboards to explore new concepts and prove their reasoning while remaining in a whole-class teaching setting. Incorporating total physical response within whiteboard usage ensures that all students are provided access to grade-level curriculum and standards. Allowing students to use whiteboards engages all students at their own level of understanding and allows for progress monitoring. I will then be able to pull students to small group to encourage further growth.
