My role as an art educator is to foster a passion for creativity in all of my students. I provide dynamic opportunities for students to engage in the art making process while using a variety of media. The art room is the where all the fun happens! An authentic art experience requires that I encourage exploration, risk taking, inquiry, collaboration, and critical problem solving skills. This type of divergent thinking allows my young artists to make meaningful connections and encourages originality and imagination. I truly believe every child is an artist. After 17 years of teaching art, there is nowhere else I'd rather be than making meaningful messes with my students!
