Pretend play is extremely important in preschool, and these materials will greatly help my students be more engaged in the dramatic play center. Not only are the students learning about everyday roles and occupations, but while playing in the dramatic play center students are learning many social skills. They have to take turns, work together to coordinate their play, share roles and ideas with each other, and then figure out how to play so that everyone is happy. Their is a lot of social/emotional development happening while it looks like they are just playing with dolls or putting on costumes.
