My students need four iPad minis and four iPad cases to protect them with. California has had a big push towards technology in the classroom. With the new Common Core State Standards, technology has become a big part of 21st-century teaching. Currently, in my classroom, I try to do differentiated learning, where I meet with small groups of students daily to target specific learning needs. Because I have 24 students, I am not always able to work individually with every student. Having iPads with many wonderful educational apps will help solve this problem by allowing students to access chosen literacy and math games as well as online stories that are scaffolded to their academic levels.
