I had the opportunity to attend several Professional Development workshops over the summer and was privileged to obtain so many fundamental skills. However, I work in a title one school and my students do no have access to Computers in the classroom. I feel this disadvantage will greatly hinder the opportunity to expand all the skills and techniques I’ve acquired over the summer. I plan to aim for 8 - HP 11.6' Chromebook - Intel Celeron - 4GB Memory - 16GB eMMC Flash Memory - Black for the classroom With these computers, my students will be able to apply mathematical skills in engaging and stimulating ways. I plan to have my students log onto an interactive classroom on KhanAcademy.org where they can better engage in the classroom. I plan to allow time for exploration and have my students explore various online tools. They will utilize the computers for group work as well as data analysis from lessons I have acquired from @bootcampworld.org workshops which align with the units I teach. Also, we cover a unit on data and statistics and I plan to show my students how to apply computer science when researching data.
