Schools can be an important setting for preventing alcohol and drug use and abuse among teens. Our health classes teach a unit on alcohol and drug education. Students need to be informed of these issues because they live in a world in which alcohol and drug use is everywhere. Even if they don't use these substances, it can still affect their lives in a number of ways. Seeing is believing! Allowing the students to use the drunk buster goggles and understand how their responses are negatively influenced will hopefully prevent the students from using substances or getting in a car with a person who has used drugs or alcohol. The human body fat model I have requested will be helpful to use during our nutrition and health unit .
