Flexible seating is beneficial in many ways. I am asking for a variety of seating so that students may choose each day what they want to sit on. Students feel empowered by having a choice or control over their environment. Students can also focus and learn better if they are comfortable. Flexible seating is much more comfortable than traditional classroom chairs. Along with flexible seating comes behavior management. Students will learn how valuable it is to share and have patience. I believe adding flexible seating to my classroom will greatly benefit my students. My students would love to have more seating options in our classroom. In our classroom having yoga balls and wobble cushions will help the students. Students will be able to come into the classroom each day and select which option they want to sit on for the day. Giving students choice is very important. When students have a choices in the classroom they feel in control of their learning. Students would be able to use a yoga ball or a wobble cushion everyday.
