My goal is to provide my students with all the tools that can be used in geometry. First, parents can not provide all the necessary materials for their low income and in the most cases, they work long hours in the field and do not have time to attend or understand the needs of their children. I use the smart board to show how to work in geometry but this is not enough for students to understand and acquire the knowledge they must practice for themselves. In our classroom we have a set of tools per group of 8 students and the practice time we have does not allow us all to share the tools to practice. Working with solid figures, finding their volume or surface area, drawing to scale among other activities and especially how they apply this knowledge in real-world life, will bring them closer to more knowledge on how to apply geometry in different branches such as for example architecture.
Receive these materials would help us a lot, everyone can acquire the knowledge faster. Also, geometry is a strong content to understand and often the students are unmotivated. Being able to practice all the techniques learned in class would help to create more motivation and in fact, discipline in class would be even better.
I ask you to help us to create the conditions for our teaching to be better and better.
