I have a very chatty and diverse class which is wonderful for collaborating and group work, although when it comes time for independent learning, quiet work time or deep focus for assessments we have a much harder time staying focused. Privacy and personal space is important for many reasons, especially in a large classroom with many diverse learners. Having a private space to think, learn and grow is just as important as collaboration and working together. These privacy shields will give students the space they need to take responsibility for their learning, really focus on the task in-front of them, as well as, give them a space that is theirs when needed. Sometimes we all just need a little privacy!
